ORGANISATIE

Listen Festival is a Brussels-wide celebration of music with a variety of events in iconic locations. With sounds spanning from Indie over House to Drum-'n-bass and from Techno to all-round global sounds, Listen is connecting the dots regardless of musical style and orientation. 

Each year Listen explores the diversity of our city’s alternative music scene within its multi-venue city festival format. Landmark locations like Central Station, North Station, Cinquantenaire Tunnels and many more stand along-side venues like Fuse, C12 and UMI. 

This year Listen celebrates its 10th anniversary on Saturday 21st of November with a new 24+++ hour format with one ticket giving access to all venues for the first time. 

FUNCTIE

You’ll assist and work closely together with the Artistic Director and Communication Manager on the day-to-day communication needs of the festival. You’ll work on the strategy for the main marketing campaigns, translating the visual style and look-and-feel of the festival into actionable campaigns and social media content. 

You’ll be responsible for the roll-out and follow-up of dedicated marketing campaigns together with our advertising agency. 

You’ll work on setting-out the routes and practicals for our media-team, handle their accreditation and specific requests by them during the festival weekend. 

During the festival you’ll follow up on all content being made and decide what will be posted together with the communication manager. 

You’ll be the main point of contact for the media-team and will follow up on their deadlines during the festival while centralising and categorising all the content that comes in. 

You’ll ensure a smooth content delivery to all artists and their management after the festival, while looking at the best strategy to maximise the use of this content. 

PROFIEL

You’re a team-player that thrives in a small but dedicated team. 

You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to take initiative within your role. 

You’re fluent in English and speak Dutch/French. 

You have experience in editing video content for Tiktok, Instagram Reels,.. 

You know how digital advertising works and have an understanding of what it takes to run successful campaigns. 

You know your way around Adobe Suite, Video editing software and other design tools.

You’re passionate about alternative electronic music and you speak the language of our audience. Earlier experience working in the festival/music sector is a big plus. 

You’re meticulous and are able to multitask and handle the stress of a big festival production. 

This is a freelance position. We are looking for someone that can invoice through a company or through SMART/Amplo/.. 

AANBOD

A part-time freelance role based in Brussels

Preferably 2,5 days per week (To be discussed together) 

Period: Preferably 1st of September - 15th of December (To be discussed together) 

A competitive fee based on your experience to be discussed together. 

Flexible working days and hours (with a peak in the weeks before and during the festival)

A key role in shaping this year’s edition of Listen Festival and Brussels’ electronic music scene.
