  • Design and manage a volunteer programme, including recruitment, selection, training, and support

  • Coordinate the Collective Care team during the Horst Festival and Open Air (shift planning, briefings, communication, follow-up)

  • Take the lead during one shift at each club weekend

  • Set up and manage the Safer Space on site (festival specific)

  • Receive and follow up on reports (such as boundary-crossing behaviour, emergency care, and referrals to external support) (festival specific)

  • Be the point of contact for collaboration with production, communications, and community teams

  • Handle post-event follow-ups such as collecting feedback, writing reports, and suggesting improvements

  • Help integrate the mission and vision of Collective Care into the daily work of all teams and departments

  • You’re a strong organiser with an empathetic and supportive leadership style

  • You're good with people and feel comfortable coordinating and supporting volunteers

  • You’re comfortable working independently and taking initiative

  • You’re familiar with inclusive practices and working with diverse communities (POC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent audiences)

  • You’re available on weekends and during festival periods

  • You’re skilled at planning, prioritising, and keeping an overview

  • You stay calm under pressure and adapt easily to changing situations

  • You work as a freelancer

AANBOD

  • You’ll join a passionate and caring team where collaboration and creativity are key

  • You’ll have the freedom and trust to shape the role in a way that suits you

  • A freelance contract for around 40 days throughout the year (depending on the event calendar)
